Hauling Out

• Mizzen mast stays up
• Loosen the mizzen topping lift while carefully laying the mizzen boom on the top of the Hydrovane.
• Insert the centerboard handle in the centerboard winch
• The sling locations are on the port side topside above the rubrail.
  • The aft sling is near the gate.
    • Make sure that the sling is not on the rudder and not on the centerboard.
  • The forward sling is near the aft lower shroud
• Once out of the water and backed away from the pit:
  • Lower the centerboard to check the pennant condition and to powerwash it.
  • It takes 70 turns of the winch handle to completely lower the centerboard.
  • After powerwashing and inspection, raise the centerboard with the winch handle.

Launching

• The centerboard needs painting before launching
• The best way is to lift Willow before lunch, paint the centerboard, and then launch after lunch
